Earlier this week, part of the land under the freeway at I-5 and 40th street in Wallingford was wrapped in chain link fencing. The whole lot was covered in blackberry brambles so wrapping it seemed kind of silly, but I thought maybe they were sick of the local homeless people using it as sleeping quarters or something, carving out little blackberry shelters like snow caves in the underbrush.
But nope, they were just preparing it to be cleared. By goats.
